The Lagos state government has announced that it has discharged an additional number of 45 COVID-19 patients after they have tested negative for the coronavirus twice consecutively.
The Lagos state ministry of health (LSMOH) announced this in a tweet they released in the evening hours of Saturday 23rd May.
In the tweet, the ministry pointed out that of the 45 patients released, 22 of them were females while the other 23 were males. All of the patients were Nigerians with no foreigner in this release.
The patients were released from the infectious disease hospital in Yaba (IDH), Onikan isolation centre, Agidingbi isolation centre, Lekki isolation centre, Landmark isolation centre in Eti-Osa, and te Lagos state university teaching hospital isolation centre. With 19, 3, 8, 7, 1 and 7 released from each respectively.
The state has released a total of 707 cases to date, having the most cases in the country and also the most discharged cases in the country.
