Labour Congress Reacts to Forceful Vaccination

Share

Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC has reacted to the conditions that Federal Government workers must take a jab of the COVID-19 vaccine or be denied access to their offices.

The activists, on Monday, countered the Government directives and cautioned against applying force in administering the vaccine to civil servants, suggesting that vaccination is a thing of choice.

Reacting was Ayuba Wabba, the President of NLC while speaking at a briefing on the COVID-19 vaccination advisory for Federal Civil Servants in Abuja.

Wabba suggested more approachable manners in conducting the vaccination exercise among their workers, adding that persuasion and conviction would convince them to partake willingly in the process rather than asserting force.

However, the President advised workers to take advantage of the jab, noting that it has created a better chance to combat the virus than avoid receiving it and putting other people’s lives at risk.

Recall that Federal Government workers without proof of COVID-19 vaccination or result will be shut out of their workplaces by December 1, 2021.
