Belgium and Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne has been ruled out for at least one month and two weeks after suffering an injury. Reports have it that he will not feature for his club in their forthcoming four to five games.
Pep Guardiola said that De Bruyne would be sidelined for between four to six weeks after he sustained a hamstring injury. The 29-years-old Belgium playmaker suffered the injury during their 4-0 Premier League win against Aston Villa.
He is now the second top player in Manchester City team after Sergio Aguero is in self-isolation after testing positive for coronavirus. Both Aguero and Kevin de Bruyne will miss their Saturday’s FA Cup fourth-round tie at Cheltenham.
De Bruyne could also miss up to 10 matches, including the Champions League last-16 first-leg tie with Borussia Monchengladbach on 24 February.
