Following Liverpool’s 1-0 home loss to struggling Burnley, football fans have taken to their various social media handle to analyse the cause of the defeat. Many believe that Burnley truly deserves the win while others are saying Liverpool were floppy, especially in front of goal.
However, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has come out to say he is to be blamed for Liverpool’s shocking home loss to Burnley. It was Liverpool’s first home loss in a very long time now.
Liverpool has been unbeaten in their 68 home games, but that ended in the English Premier League Matchday 19. Burnley beat Liverpool 1-0 to end the unbeaten run after 68 games.
Ashley Barnes’ late penalty ended the English Premier League defending champions home record. The defeat means Liverpool’s chances of retaining the title is now in doubt. They are currently six points behind leaders Manchester United. Jurgen Klopp said: “We lost a game which I think was impossible to lose, but we did.”
He also said: “And that’s my fault because my job is to make sure that the boys have the right feelings, the right amount of confidence… and that obviously didn’t work out.” “We created some situations, but in the final moment we did not make the right decision, and that’s the problem.” “It’s always my fault. “
“The things that don’t work are my fault, the things that work are a credit to the players… if I make clear which movements make sense and we don’t do them, I need to make it clearer.”
Jurgen Klopp concluded by saying: “I can’t believe we lost it, but it’s the truth, and we have to accept that.” Allison who helped Liverpool against Manchester United could help the Reds as they went down 1-0.
