Following an impressive display from Super Eagles star player Joe Aribo in their Scottish Premiership game Rangers head coach Steven Gerrard has praised the Nigerian. Joe Aribo scored a fantastic goal in their Sunday’s 4-2 win against Ross County at Victoria Park.
Aribo scored the opener for the Rangers in the first 15 minutes. He shifted the ball from his left onto his right and back onto his left. He unleashed the most incredible, curling effort, which whizzed into the top corner of the net. Steven Gerrard said: “Joe was a little bit frustrated through the week, but that is what Joe Aribo is all about. Driving up to people, being aggressive, breaking the rules.”
The former Liverpool skipper also said: “It was a fantastic finish, and we want him to keep doing that, scoring goals, and he has got the license when we name that midfield three to go forward and be a bit more ambitious.”
He concluded his praise on Joe Aribo by saying: “I still think we can be better and go on and get five or six, that is how I want my teams to play, I want them to be organised and hard to play against, that is the base.” “We want to be as ruthless in the box as we can be, and that is what a Rangers team should look like.”
