Following the recent trend on Jide Kosoko, popular comedy skit maker Mr Macaroni has dropped several tweets on his stand on people supporting politicians. In one of the tweets, he said it is not in his place to tell anyone which party or candidate to support because this is democracy but it is only wise we vote wisely.
Although Mr Macaroni did not mention any name when tweeting many believed it is targeted at Jide Kosoko who was one of the few Hollywood actors who came out to campaign for Mohamamadu Buhari before he became president in 2015.
Jide Kosoko joined in the campaign endorsing Buhari in 2015 but after the president won the election and he saw how things unfolded he went mute. Now, this same man is out again endorsing another APC candidate.
Mr Macaroni in another tweet said: “Good or Bad, Politicians will always have supporters. There are people who will always support them for different reasons. And they do have that right.” “But most of them do so from a place of comfort. The Majority of people who cannot boast of such comfort must VOTE WISELY!!!
He cited the October 2020 incident where some innocent Nigerian youths in Lagos were arrested during the Endsars Protests. He said some of those persons arrested are still in Kirikiri even now. Some were killed, and some of us were brutalized and dehumanized. That is Governor Babajide SanwoOlu’s legacy!!!
