Outspoken Nigerian Lawyer and Human Rights Activists Reno Omokri has criticised Nigerians already planning to get the iPhone 14.

iPhone 14, set to launch in September, has seen many Nigerians ready to purchase the utility gadget.

The media aide of the former president, Goodluck Jonathan, took to his Twitter page to state that it was not a priority as the money can help food shortage in local communities.

He wrote, “You are poor. Your locality has food shortage. Another locality has food surplus. You have enough money to buy and transport it to your locality to sell. But it’s not your priority. Your priority is to buy the coming iPhone 14. Later you accuse your village people!”

In another tweet, he said, “In no other nation is it as vital for you to buy real estate, as Nigeria. Nigeria’s population is now 210 million. You struggle to pay rent. By 2036, Nigeria’s population will be 300 million. And you want to buy an iPhone 14 when you don’t have a house or land?”
