Leicester City striker, Kelechi Iheanacho, has received some motivation in his preparations to clash with Benin Republic in the AFCON qualifier with the news of a renewed contract at the King Power Stadium.
According to the UK Sun, Iheanacho is ready to put pen to paper on a bumper new deal this summer to commit his future to City.
The Super Eagles forward have been in impressive form, stepping up to take the goalscoring burden from Jamie Vardy in recent weeks, having netted seven goals in his last four games.
That includes a hat trick against Sheffield United and a brace in the FA Cup quarter-final against Manchester United in his last two appearances.
Given his recent goalscoring prowess, it’s perhaps no surprise to see City move quickly to secure his future, especially with the player having just over one year left on his current deal.
