Pastor of Shalom Mercyland Ministries, Chris Onyebuchi Amadi, in Rivers State, has reportedly taken the life of his wife, Evangelist Solution Amadi following an argument that ensued between the pair.
The Rivers State Police Command arrested Amadi at Aluu, Ikwere Local Government Area, LGA, as he made moves to escape from the scene of the murder.
His wife, a thirty-year-old evangelist, fellow pastor and marriage counsellor in the same church was allegedly strangled to death by her husband.
Yesterday, the police spokesperson of the state command, Nnamdi Omoni, disclosed that the body of the late evangelist has since been deposited in a mortuary.
Meanwhile, Amadi has been moved to the State Criminal and Investigation Department on the orders of the Commissioner of Police, Friday Eboka.
According to some of the relatives, the argument started as a result of her pupils’ school fees payment which escalated into what eventually led to the murder on the 9th of this month.
Her husband’s action reportedly angered her as he failed to inform her before dismissing some students in her school that could not pay the required fees.
Her elder brother, Odinaka Opurum, said his sister felt embarrassed when affected parents started calling to complain about her husband’s actions.
Solution International School was reportedly established by the deceased before she got married to the pastor in 2012. God blessed their marriage with four children, two boys and two girls.
