Greenwood, Bruno and Paul Pogba Scores to ensure Three Points for United

Mason Greenwood and Bruno Fernandes scored in the first half to give Manchester United a lead before Fernandes set Paul Pogba to the third to seal the victory. There have been arguments based on the first game which was a penalty converted by Bruno Fernandes, football fans have been saying the Video Assistant Referee made an incorrect decision to have awarded a penalty to Manchester United which led to the first goal.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he cannot leave Mason Greenwood out of his team following his impressive game so far, the player has scored in his last three games for Manchester United in the English Premier League. The 18-year-old English forward took his tally to 16 for the campaign by netting in Manchester United’s 3-0 victory over Aston Villa.

Only three players in Manchester United history has such record and they are George Best, Brian Kidd and Wayne Rooney all with 17 scored more as teenagers in one season for United.nSolskjaer said “it’s up to him [Greenwood] how far he wants to go”.

The Academy product (Greenwood) has shown worth since his breakthrough season why he is rated so highly at the club, showcasing pace, skill and the ability to finish with either foot. His goal against Villa was smashed in from 20 yards out with his right foot, as he became the fourth player aged 18 or under to score in three consecutive Premier League games, after Danny Cadamarteri, Michael Owen and Francis Jeffers.

“I am doing my bit to help him but he has to do it turn in performances in training, in games, live his life properly. It’s up to him how far he wants to go.” “He’s 18 and of course he will get better. He is a natural footballer and has been in the academy since he was a little boy.”

“His dad showed me a picture of us together when he was seven. He knows we believe in him. You cannot leave players out when they score goals,” United boss said. Bruno and Paul Pogba also found the back of the net with Bruno Fernandes winning the Man of the Match Award.

France play maker Paul Pogba said: “We are really pleased with ourselves because we know we have to carry on. We talk before the game, in training, Manchester is a big club and we want to keep the level up always. “The performances of the past few weeks are Manchester United. We have to keep working, there is a lot to do.”

Manchester United continue to move in the right direction and have not suffered defeat since a feeble home defeat at the hands of Burnley in January. They have not lost in 10 Premier League games currently the longest unbeaten run in the top flight.
