Germany Forced to a 3-3 Draw in-front of their Fans by Turkey
Germany and Turkey were in fierce game last night as both teams kept scoring, it was a game filled with lots of goals as the game ended in 3-3 full-time draw. Turkey scored an injury-time equaliser to clinch a draw against Germany in the six-goal friendly thriller in Cologne.
The visitors came from behind three times with Ozan Tufan, Efecan Karaca and Kenan Karaman’s 94th-minute strike. Germany was in front three times in the game the first game came from the skipper Julian Draxler and debutant Florian Neuhaus both set up by Chelsea’s Kai Havertz and Gian-Luca Waldschmidt scored the third.
The hosts played without many key players which could be said to be the reason for the draw. Germany coach Joachim Low left Bayern Munich pair Manuel Neuer and Serge Gnabry out of the squad to rest them for their upcoming Nations League matches.
The 2014 World Cup winners will be travelling to Ukraine on Saturday before hosting Switzerland on Tuesday. They are without a win in 2020 having drawn both their Group A4 games so far, against Spain and the Swiss.
Arsenal’s goalkeeper Bernd Leno made his eight international caps for German last night as he was used ahead of the country’s captain Manuel Neuer. Chelsea duo Havertz and Antonio Rudiger were featured in the game. They allowed over 300 fans into the RheinEnergieStadion. Germany was set to allow 9,200 supporters to watch the game but were forced to change due to a rise in the local coronavirus infection rate.
