Breaking News: Francisco Garcia, Football Coach Dies of Coronavirus at age 21

Francisco Garcia, a player coach aged 21 becomes the first sportsman to die of coronavirus. he is a youth football coach currenting coaching Spanish second division side Atletico Portada Alta, he was reported died in a hospital in Malaga after contracting the dreaded coronavirus. The virus which post a threat to global health hit Spain recent and led to the suspension of all sporting activities with Real Madrid players placed under quarantine.

Garcia was advised to seek medical help after struggling to breathe and was told that he had both coronavirus and pneumonia. The Spaniard was said to have leukemia which resulted from pneumonia, he died on Sunday in the Malaga hospital. Francisco Garcia had been training with Atletico Portada Alta for four years and was coach of the junior team.

the club president Pep Bueno paying tribute to him revealed how quickly his health condition declined. The president said: “Francisco was a great guy and a very talented coach. We are all still shocked. “The hospital rang me at 7 pm on Sunday to say his condition had stabilised, but then an hour later because of the coronavirus and (cancer) he died. I do not believe it. It seems impossible to me.”

Francisco Garcia becomes the fifth and also the youngest victim of the virus in the whole of Spain. He is also the first football sportsperson to die of the virus. the young couch is said to have made contact with some of the players, the players he made contact with has all been placed under self-isolation after testing them.
