Eriksen Eyes 2022 Fifa World Cup Call-up

Former Tottenham and Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen say his goal is to play at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar as he continues his recovery from the cardiac arrest he suffered during Euro 2020 in June. The player was told he could not play for Inter Milan in Italy after being fitted with an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator – a type of pacemaker.

In December, Christian Eriksen terminated his contract with Italian top side Inter Milan, but he has since been training alone in Denmark. The player also hints at a possible return to the English Premier League. He said returning to England would make him feel like going back home.
