David Alaba Becomes the Latest Madrid Player to Test Positive for Coronavirus

28-year-old David Alaba joined the Spanish La Liga side Real on a five-year deal this summer after running down his contract at Bayern Munich. The addition of Alaba to the team will help the team with the departure of two of their top defenders.

Sergio Ramos joined Paris Saint-Germain, while Raphael Varane joined Manchester United. Austrian international was confirmed positive for coronavirus as he will help make up for the departures of Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos. Varane is joining Manchester United, and Ramos signed with Paris Saint-Germain.

Alaba will be able to return to pre-season training with his club teammates once he tests negative. He is now the second person to test positive for coronavirus after Karim Benzema tested positive for COVID-19 last week.
