A cult clash between students of IMG Grammar School, Ibadan and those of Oke-Bola Comprehensive High School has resulted in the dealth of one of the pupils as they also vandalised about ten vechicles around the schools.
The students reportedly engaged in a clash using different weapons, including cutlass, knife, axe, and others.
Everyeveryng gathered that students of the two schools, which are located on the same street, are suspected to be members of rival cult groups, making them clash regularly.
An eyewitness around the area confirmed that the pupils have been clashing regularly for several years.
According to the eye witness, the students attacked some people whose workshops and offices are near the schools, vandalizing their vehicles.
He said they specifically attacked an auto-technician workshop near their school.
Meanwhile, no fewer than ten secondary school students have been arrested over the clash.
The police PRO in Oyo state, CSP Fadeyi, while confirming the incident said, “The clash was between two schools in Oke-Ado and the police’s swift response led to the arrest of 10 students.
He said the commissioner of Police Mr. Shina Olukolu has ordered that the Area Commander in Iyaganku and the DPO handle to ensure that the matter did not escalate.
