Since the vaccinations, the Coronavirus Pandemic is no longer waxing stronger as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, lately registered thirty-five confirmed new cases.

This findings were compiled in five states, including the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, on January 4, 2022, when the agency revealed the information on its verified website on Saturday morning.

As at the moment of filing this report, the number of infections in the country had risen to 253,540, even if the daily number of COVID-19 cases on Friday reduced to 35 from 100 infections on January 3, 2022.

According to the new data, there’s a clear reduction in the number of infections, however, this did not include an update from Lagos State, the country’s coronavirus epicentre.

The good news in all of these documentations is that the agency’s records shows that no additional death was reported, as such death toll remained at 3,136 from yesterday.

Their survey, however, stated that 89 patients in the country were discharged, which included 67 community discharged cases in the FCT on February 4, 2022.

According to agency, 229,982 Nigeria residents had recovered from COVID-19 so far.
