Closing your shops when you just got a loan to restock or got the goods on credit because of virus is not only unthinkable but unacceptable. Despite the various loses Nigerians may have suffered due to the Coronavirus pandemic, they still need to forgive the virus.

Reasons To Forgive Coronavirus

Road Accidents

It is true that Nigeria has confirmed about 254 Coronavirus cases, six deaths, 44 recoveries and 204 active cases, but let us look through these.

In 2019 the Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC) said an average of 12 people die on Nigerian roads daily.

Again the FRSC Corps Marshal, Boboye Oyeyemi raised an alarm that the first quarter of 2020 witnessed an alarming 4.5 per cent increase in road accidents and fatalities.

But since the lockdown orders took effect, and travels have reduced to the barest minimum, road accidents have reduced to close to zero. With this, the lives of those who would have been lost to road accidents have been saved by Coronavirus.

Ritual Killing

Coronavirus might have also saved those who have listened to the lockdown order from the federal and state governments.

When you stay in your homes and do not receive unnecessary visitors. You did not visit those with evil intentions of using you for rituals. You have not been found in places where you could be a victim, and you are not looking for a lift by the roadside because you are not going anywhere.

Then Coronavirus might have saved a lot of lives. It has, in one way, broken the hearts of those in need of human parts because almost everyone is in their homes. Can you consider this reason to forgive Coronavirus for putting you on lockdown?

Kidnapping

Coronavirus might have sacked kidnappers with many states on lockdown. Kidnapping that had become a daily occurrence and a fast-growing industry in Nigeria is currently being dealt with by Coronavirus.

The big men who mostly are the victims of these unrepentant kidnappers are either on lockdown, self-isolation or quarantined, so where will you find them?

The rich people are the ones said to cherish their lives the most, knowing the type of money and luxury they have to enjoy. At this time, they unavailable to kidnappers.

Most Nigerians are in their home, coping with this lockdown, either with empty, half-filled or filled stomachs, but the good news is that most Nigerians are not at the reach of kidnappers.

Can Coronavirus be forgiven because of this too? There are several other reasons capable of convincing you to forgive this virus, but consider these few and agree with that there are good things even in the worse case scenarios.

Businesses may be closed unfortunately and economic might be getting more terminally ill. Many might be waking and sleeping on empty stomachs, as breadwinners get stranded because of the lockdown order in most parts of Nigeria.

At, this point, we can only look at the bright side of things and give ourselves reasons to survive. Just as it is widely said and believed, this too shall pass.

Coronavirus is real. Stay at home, stay Safe!
