Coronavirus in Nigeria: 108 Confirmed New Cases Surface

108 confirmed new cases of Coronavirus has been announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.

Accordng to the new updates by the NCDC, the country now has 981 confirmed cases, 31 deaths as a result of complications from Coronavirus while 197 recoveries have also been recorded. This also brings in Jos with it’s index case, increasing the number of states to 27.

NCDC Updates On Coronavirus in Nigeria

According to the body, the 108 new cases of coronavirus in Nigeria are reported from eight states which are, Lagos with 78, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja has 14, Ogun has 5, Gombe with 4, Borno 3, Akwa Ibom 2, Kwara and Plateau have 1 case each.

This brings the number of active cases in the country to 753. Currently the cases by states are; Lagos-582 FCT-133 Kano-73 Ogun-29 Katsina-21 Osun-20 Oyo-17 Edo-17 Borno-12 Kwara-11 Akwa Ibom-11 Kaduna-9 Gombe-9 Bauchi-8 Delta-6 Ekiti-4 Ondo-3 Rivers-3 Jigawa-2 Enugu-2 Niger-2 Abia-2 Benue-1 Anambra-1 Sokoto-1 Adamawa-1 Plateau-1.
