Buhari Replaces Adamu, Osinbajo Decorates New IGP

President Muhammadu Buhari has removed, Mohammed Adamu as the Inspector General of Police, IGP.

The Minister of Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi, revealed that the President has approved the appointment of Deputy Inspector-General, DIG, Usman Alkali Baba as the acting IGP.

Meanwhile, the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has decorated the new acting IGP, Usman Alkali Baba, with his new rank.

Present at the decoration ceremony is the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, former IGP, Mohammed Adamu, Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Maigari Dingyadi, Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, and his colleague in the office of the Vice President, Mr Laolu Akande.

Others are the Permanent Secretary, State House, Tijjani Umar and the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Police Affairs, Mr Temitope Fashedemi.
