Bovi, Beverly Osu to Star In 'Nneka The Pretty Serpent' Remake
The remake Popular Nollywood classic, ‘Nneka The Pretty Serpent’ is set to hit the cinemas in less than three weeks and there is a buildup of excitement as Nigerians can not wait to see what the producers get up to.
This remake will be produced by the same brains behind the remake of other Nollywood classics like Rattlesnake: The Ahanna story and Living In Bondage. Judging from how well the last two went, the expectations from this remake are at an all-time high.
To top it all off, the producers announced that popular comedian, Bovi and actress, Beverly Osu will be starring in this movie which gives the viewers something to look forward to seeing that Bovi announced that he will be playing a very serious character.
In his promotion video, Bovi admitted that he begged for the role because he knew it would be a good one. He said,
“I play the role of inspector Daniel, I am a cop, a policeman and a serious one at that. So far so good, when play network first came out with Living in Bondage, the work spoke for itself, it wasn’t just hype, there as the substance to back up the hype. “
“So when I heard Nneka the pretty serpent was going to be remade, I put a call through and said yo, I want to be in this movie. Usually, I don’t beg but I begged for this one. I said please I want to be in this movie so they gave me the script, I read the script and they called me back and said, ‘What role do you think you can handle?’ I said Nneka”
