Nigerians seem to be filled with tears of joy as Seyi Awolowo was evicted from the house on Sunday. Days after his eviction, Seyi is crying bitterly as he discusses with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
As he has come out to see the extent of the damage he had done to his reputation, a repentant Seyi breaks down. He is apologetic about the misogynist statements, he made while in the BBNaija All Stars house.
While in the house he had made so many sexist comments. After one Saturday Night party, he spoke about how he would raise his sons to run trains on people’s daughters.
At many points during his stay, he also spoke negatively about Ilebaye and Angel’s parents. Biggie even tried to reign him in, when he complained about the uncleanliness of the female housemates. However, Biggie’s warnings seemed to fly over his head. He made even more misogynistic comments as the days went on.
Now faced with the repercussions of his actions, Seyi seeks forgiveness from the public.
“I’m really sorry. I guess that is the most I can do right now-“, he immediately breaks down. He is so heartbroken with tears. He starts slapping his legs to get himself to handle his emotions. Ebuka quickly offers him a tissue.
It is clear that Seyi is sorry, but should Nigerians forgive him?
