BBNaija 2020 Tolanibaj
On Sunday we witnessed the first triple eviction in the BBNaija Lockdown house that say the end of Tolanibaj, Wathoni and Brighto’s Journey in the reality Tv show. Being the 7th housemate to be evicted met Tolanibaj with mixed emotions because she said it surprised her but the show must go on anyway. Today she had an exclusive interview with the show’s host and spilt all on her stay in the house, the unhappy relationship with Prince and allegedly betraying her sister from another mother, Vee.
Ebuka asked Tolanibaj what was going through her mind when she was evicted and how she’s feeling now that she is out of the house. Recall that Tolanibaj was the first housemate to be evicted at the end of the sixth week and the 7th housemate to leave the BBNaija 2020 house.
Tolanibaj said,
“so yesterday it was kind of shocking for me because I feel like Tolanibaj is still supposed to be here now. I was confused but at the same time, I was happy that I had made it to week six that was the only thing I was thinking about. I was not the first to go, was not the second and at least I feel like a lot of people know who I am now and I’m content. It is what I do after that really matters”
Ebuka asked Tolanibaj to shed more light on the confrontation between her Ka3na. He asked about the back and forth, the few swear words that were thrown and Tolani’s iconic walk-off from the fight.
Talking one that, she said,
“Ka3na has this whole boss lady kinda P and I’m a boss too but I don’t feel the need to always have to remind people of that, I’d rather people tell me who I am. I feel like there is room for us to speak again, I don’t have anything against her. At the end of the day, it is a game it is a show, we needed to give people content. If for any reason we are in the same environment, I could talk to her”
She quickly added that she would not make a move to reach out to Ka3na when Ebuka asked if she would attempt to speak to Ka3na first because she(Tolanibaj) has ‘strong head’.
This is a very touchy subject considering that Tolani’s feelings for Neo had just been exposed to the rest of the housemates and she is getting vitriol from viewers and housemates but she spoke about it regardless.
Ebuka asked when she noticed Prince and she said she noticed him in the second week although she noticed Neo first. Seems she is still on this Neo hill.
According to Tolanibaj.
“I think I noticed him second week, it was actually Neo that I noticed first but when we started to have conversations I realised that he was like a very loud person and I don’t really like guys that are too out there. I like my guys reserved.”
She said moving on to Prince was born out of the need to cuddle in the house. She realised that Prince is really not taken and nobody was claiming Prince either. Moreover, he hadn’t confirmed his exclusive relationship with anybody in the house so she decided to single him out as her cuddle buddy.
Ebuka also touched the area of unhappiness in the relationship, asking her why she still stayed in the situation despite being unsatisfied. We recall that she complained about Prince being cold and uninvolved in their relationship at several points. To this, she responded,
“Honestly, I guess I liked the idea of having a companion in the house and just somebody I could cuddle with to be fair. I still don’t have any regrets, I just like the fact that we could cuddle at night and I would be warm and we would wake up in the morning and do our thing.”
She says she doesn’t know if Prince liked her as well but she said she is out now and didn’t care much for that seeing that there is only so much patience you can offer someone. She says that eventually, Prince will leave the BBNaija house and if anything works between them it works, and if it doesn’t, it doesn’t.
On her relationship with Erica. She said their friendship was more organic than any other in the house. She said that Erica was the only girl that was genuinely nice to her from the first day.
They delved into the interesting dynamics of Tolanibaj and Vee’s relationship. Ebuka said that he noticed the closeness between them, even saying that they had this whole sisterhood between them. Ebuka asked why Tolanibaj voted Vee out after all they shared, she said, “ That was just me being strategic”
She said she was sure that Vee would have at least 7 other housemates saving her but the others who were at risk of evictions, Wathoni, Trickytee and Praise would need more votes. A risky move if you ask me.
This topic spilled into Tolanibaj liking Vee’s man, Neo. Tolanibaj said that there was an originating story to her discussion with Erica which Ebuka did not know of. She said that Neo had earlier mentioned to Erica that he found her (Tolanibaj) attractive and even went ahead to say that Neo had asked her if he liked PDA. Tolanibaj bounced off this precedent when she told Erica that she had feelings for Neo.
She said after the conversation with Neo, she asked Erica in the bathroom what they had spoken about and that was when Erica told her that Neo was feeling her. According to Tolanibaj,
“Erica said Neo is feeling you and I said Mad. I’m feeling him too. Like if there is room for that and he makes the first move, I’ll hop on it”
On where this hopes of a relationship with Neo leaves Vee. She said,
“ Honestly, it’s still a game, I don’t know if what they have is serious but I just feel like whatever happens, happens and she has also mentioned it a couple of time in the house that he never asked her to be his girlfriend. They are just friends so anything goes”
She says that she’ll like for Prince to win the money because she feels like he deserves it and it will make him so happy. She also mentioned Ozo but maintained that she’d prefer Prince to be the winner.
Ebuka asked her what plans she has for the future and she says she wants to do everything. She wouldn’t want to be put in a box because she knows opportunities are endless. She mentioned going into real estate, Owning a farm, continuing with entertainment and getting more brand deals among other things
