Bayern Munich Hopeful to Bounce Back Against Lazio

German Bundesliga and Uefa Champions League defending champions Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick said he hopes his side will bounce back from their shocking league lose at the weekend.

According to Hansi Flick, he said his side must return to form as they travel to Italy to play Lazio in their first leg of the Uefa Champions League last-16 round.

Bayern Munich has won six titles in the past nine months, but they have also dropped points in Bundesliga games in the past week after lifting the Club World Cup.

The manager believes Corentin Tolisso, who is injured, and Thomas Muller, who is currently isolating with Covid-19, will not be travelling the team. Still, he is confident his boys will do well regardless.

Hansi Flick said: “I will not be using any excuses.” “I am positive. It is a special game, and I expect that the team is especially motivated.” Bayern Munich played 3-3 at home to Arminia Bielefeld and lost 2-1 to Eintracht Frankfurt in the league, which one reason they are looking to win.

The manager believes the player now knows what to do as they already know their fault in the games they lost. He said he wants his team to be fully involved in the game from start to finish.

It is a debut game as it is the first time Lazio and Bayern Munich are meeting. Lazio won their last Serie A game 1-0 but have not been in the best form. They, however, have a good record against German teams. They have lost just one of their six games against German clubs.
