Ex-Arsenal head coach Arsene Wenger was pictured at Liverpool’s AXA training centre handing Jurgen Klopp and four other Liverpool players their Best FIFA Men’s awards from the campaign before last. Arsene Wenger, now FIFA’s chief of global football development, handed over the 2020 Best FIFA Men’s Coach prize to Klopp.
Wenger gave Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Thiago Alcantara and Virgil van Dijk trophies to mark their inclusion in the 2020 FIFA FIFPro Men’s World11. Liverpool head coach Klopp was awarded best men’s coach after securing the Reds’ first Premier League title in thirty years, with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alisson Becker and Virgil van Dijk selected for their contribution to the club’s achievement.
After the trophy presentation, Wenger watched Tuesday’s session at the AXA Training Centre and caught up with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who was his player when he was still managing Arsenal between 2011 and 2017. The Reds have a tough Premier League fixture this weekend when they take on European champions, Chelsea.
