Some Armed Robbers have reportedly written an open letter to strike in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja. In a video shared online by some internet users, the armed robbers in the letter titled Business Operation notified residents of the Mbappe area of Abuja of an upcoming operation in the area.

The armed robbers in the letter advised residents of the area to prepare at least 100,000 naira to make the operation easy for them or be ready to face the consequences of failing to provide the money.

Meanwhile, they did not clearly state if the 100,000 naira is what they expect the whole community to prepare or paid by individual houses in the area.

They went further to bragged that the residents of the area could not stop the planned robbery attack by informing the police or the Nigerian Army.

You will recall that in the most recent attack in the FCT, some unknown gunmen kidnapped a retired Assistant Comptroller-General of Immigrations, Abdulahi Rakieu, in the Tungan Maje area of Gwagwalada Area Council of Abuja.

Apart from Abdulahi Rakieu, the Kidnappers also abducted three other persons after invading their residents.

EveryEvery.ng gathered that the Tungan Maje area had been subjected to similar attacks. The most notable was in September 2020, when abductors kidnapped several people, including children, in the dead of night.

However, the FCT Police command spokesman, ASP Mariam Yusuf, said that the Command had launched a strategic operation to check the residents’ security concerns.
