Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has named Princess Catherine Oludunni Odu as the Secretary to the State Government, SSG in Ondo State.
The Chief Press Secretary to Akeredolu, Richard Olabode, made this known in a statement.
According to Olabode, Odu’s appointment as the first female SSG in Ondo recognises her outstanding performance record in her previous assignments.
Before her appointment, Princess Odu, a legal practitioner, was the State Universal Basic Education Board Chairman.
Also, Princess Odu was Federal Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission and a former Commissioner for Women Affairs and Education.
The newly appointed SSG holds LLM from the University of Lagos and a Bachelor of Law from Nigerian Law School.
She also holds a Master of Science in Industrial Sociology from the University of Calabar and a BSc. Sociology from the University of Benin.
Akeredolu also appointed Mr Dare Aragbaiye as Special Adviser on Union Matters and Special Duties. Aragbaiye is the immediate-past Head of the State Public Service.
Also, Mrs Olubunmi Adedipe Ademosu was named as Special Adviser, Public and Intergovernmental Relations, Hon. Babatunde Gabriel Kolawole (Special Adviser), Rural and Community Development, while Mr Summy Smart Francis was named Special Adviser on Entrepreneurship Development.
However, Governor Akeredolu urged the appointees to discharge their duties with utmost responsibilities.
