Actress Damilola Adegbite talks about her failed marriage with her fellow colleague Chris Attoh while listing what she learned from the marriage .
Recall that the duo met on a movie set and shortly after they began dating. They got married in 2015, but got divorced after two years.
In a recent interview with a media personality, Chude Jideonwo, the actress Damilola explained events that led to their divorce.She noted that their marriage did not work out, but she got a big lesson from it: love is never enough.
She said, “When you meet somebody and you want to spend the rest of your life with them, love is just one of the qualities that you need, but it’s not everything.”
The actress further identified the popular marriage mentality from hers, noting that it does not fit into her lifestyle.
Sharing her opinion on marriage, the actress stated that a failed marriage is not the failure people make it out to be and not every marriage is from God.
She further recounted how she fought and prayed till the end of her marriage with Chris Attoh while reminding herself that she tried her best.
