AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been reported to have sustained a calf injury during their Monday morning training, the report was given by the club. Reports have it that the 39-year-old Swedish international may not be able to start the opening games with AC Milan when the league resume because of the injury.

Following the current development in Italian Seria A, the Italian government will decide on Thursday if and when the Serie A season can return to action.
Italian clubs were given permission to return to full group training on the 19th of May, while sides voted to restart the season on the 13th June. The Italian football federation has set 20 August as the deadline for finishing the season, with the new campaign starting on 1 September.
Serie A was suspended on the 9th of March with 12 full rounds and four outstanding fixtures still to play, with Juventus topping the league with one point ahead of Lazio. AC is currently out of the Champions League and Europa League spot, they only picked form after the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
