Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has tested positive for coronavirus. The former Real Madrid player who is the current coach test for the deadly virus recently and is currently in self-isolation.
Spanish club Real Madrid issued a short statement that states that the 48-year-old had the virus, but gave no further information on the coach’s condition. They also did not say anything about him making contact with the players.
Zinedine Zidane who is under pressure in the club after his side was knocked out of the Copa del Rey by a third division side on Wednesday is now in self-isolation.
Real Madrid has been in poor form this season, and the 2-1 loss in the Copa del Rey against third division Alcoyano is one of many that has happened this season.
Real Madrid will be playing struggling Alaves in their next La Liga game, and it expected that Zidane would not be on seats to watch his boys play. Real Madrid sits in the second-place position with seven points behind Atletico, who also has a hand game.
