Zidane Hints at a Return to Juventus

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has hinted that he would be interested in replacing Andrea Pirlo as Juventus head coach.

Zidane might take Pirlo’s job

Pirlo is under pressure following a poor campaign that has seen Juve exit the Champions League early and falls to fifth in the Serie A standings.

Zidane’s future as Madrid manager is also rather uncertain, with the 48-year-old reportedly relying on the Champions League to keep him in a job.

The Frenchman played for Juve for five years until 2001 and has been touted to replace Pirlo at the end of the campaign.

Asked by Sky Sport Italia if the job would tempt him, Zidane said: “Italy is always in my heart. I don’t know. For now, I’m here. Let’s see.”

The Frenchman has won 11 trophies across two spells in charge of Madrid, including three European Cups. Interestingly, his Champions League journey could be said to be progressing, especially after the whipping of Liverpool Tuesday.
