Nollywood star Regina Daniels has dropped shocking revelations about her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, alleging that all his wives and ex-wives are involved in drug use and that he once encouraged her own substance abuse, claiming she was “sexier” when high.
The young actress, who has been at the centre of a brewing marital crisis with the Delta North Senator, took to her Facebook page late Saturday night to clear the air after her husband accused her of drug addiction and refusal to undergo rehabilitation.
In her post, Regina not only admitted to having struggled with drug use but claimed the politician himself enabled and even encouraged her addiction. According to her, Nwoko preferred her that way, allegedly telling her that being high made her “wild and romantic,” a behavior he supposedly enjoyed.
“You said you wanted me to go for rehab but you are the same Ned, who wanted me high because, in your words, I’m sexier when I’m high,” she wrote. “You like me that way because it made me wild and romantic exactly how you wanted me to be.”
The actress went on to accuse the Senator of hypocrisy, questioning why he had not revealed that his other wives and former spouses were also involved in drug use.
“Why don’t you also tell them that all your wives and ex-wives are on drugs? Can you be kind enough to explain to them why that is?” she asked.
In a further twist, Regina made disturbing claims that her husband once locked her up and instructed doctors to inject her with drugs meant for people with bipolar disorder, a situation she described as both terrifying and humiliating.
“Why don’t you tell them how you locked me up and asked doctors to inject me with drugs meant for people with bipolar disorder? Why don’t you tell them how you took my phones for weeks just because you hate that I talk to my family a lot?” she wrote.
The revelations come amid growing tension between the couple, following weeks of speculation about domestic violence and emotional abuse within their marriage.
Senator Nwoko, in an earlier statement, had accused Regina of being addicted to drugs and of refusing professional help, an allegation that has now been countered with explosive claims from the actress herself.
As the controversy deepens, Nigerians on social media are expressing mixed reactions with some rallying behind Regina for speaking out, while others demand that both parties take their claims to court rather than social media.
