The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the 2023 election Presidential aspirant, Yemi Osinbajo, has declared that he owes no one any allegiance as he has a call to serve.

Yemi Osinbajo has been tagged a traitor after declaring his intention to run for office in the coming election despite his godfather and former principal Bola Ahmed Tinubu running For The same post.

Yemi Osinbajo: I Owe Nobody Allegiance

Addressing his followers during his political consultations in Ogun State on Tuesday, the 65-year-old revealed his only allegiance is to the oath of office he swore to Nigerians in 2015.

Osinbajo said: “After all, I have learnt, if called upon to serve the nation, should I say No? I have decided that I will run for office.

“I have sworn an oath to the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It is an oath to our people, our children, and the future of Nigeria. I owe nobody else any allegiance outside the oath.”

Yemi Osinbajo will go head to head with former alliance Bola Tinub in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries in May 2022.
