Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has commended health workers for their efforts in containing the Coronavirus, COVID-19 outbreak in Nigeria.
He gave the commendation in his Worker’s day goodwill to Nigerian workers via a post on his Twitter handle.
According to Atiku, it is appropriate to express gratitude to Nigerian health workers for leading the battle against the outbreak.
The tweet reads, “This year, WorkersDay is in the middle of a health pandemic. Therefore, I believe it is appropriate to express my utmost gratitude to our health workers who have been leading the battle to contain the spread of the coronavirus in our country. We cannot thank you enough.”
Earlier, the former Presidential candidate under the umbrella of the peoples’ democratic party, PDP had suggested that there is the need to diversify the Nigerian economy to embrace Agriculture as the primary sector earmarked for development.
He also noted that the nation’s energies, resources and focus must be on how to diversify her economy and reduce expenditure.
