Woman who Swallowed 80 Pellets of Cocaine in NDLEA’s Custody

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA officials have discovered and placed a woman who swallowed eighty pieces of cocaine under arrest.

Mrs Adisa Afusat Olayinka, who claimed to be a businesswoman, was about to board a flight to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia for the lesser Hajj, also known as Umrah.

Operatives of the agency apprehended her at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, NAIA, Abuja, at the exact moment the hard substance was discovered in her body.

In a statement issued by Mr Femi Babafemi, the Director Media and Advocacy, NDLEA, yesterday in Abuja, he revealed that the suspect is a forty-six-year-old residing in Ibafo in Ogun State.

He further revealed that she’s officially from in Ilorin East Local Government Area, LGA of Kwara state and was arrested last week around the airport surroundings during an open clearance of Qatar Airways flight 1418.

NDLEA Official Says Cocaine Worth N2.5m

Babafemi explained that Mrs Olayinka revealed she purchased the cocaine at the price of 2.5 million naira while responding to questions from their operatives.

According to her statement, she saved the money for over one year to buy the hard substance in bits from six different people at Akala, Mushin area of Lagos.
