Woman Kidnapped In Ekiti Regains Freedom in Kwara State

Woman kidnapped along the Ekiti State Commissioner for Agriculture Mr Folorunsho Olabode has regained her freedom in Kwara State while the Commissioner remains in the abductors’ net.

The Ekiti State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Sunday Abutu while confirming the woman’s released from her abductor said though she was kidnapped on Sunday evening along Isan-Iludun road at gunpoint, she was released inside a forest in Kwara State.

The Ekiti Kidnapping

The Ekiti State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO stated; “The only information at our disposal, for now, is that the woman that was kidnapped with the Commissioner had been released.

She was released inside one forest somewhere in Kwara State, and she was said to have found her way to the main road where she was helped.

As of now, the Commissioner is still with the kidnappers while the police and other security agencies are doing their best to bring him home safe and sound”.

It would be recalled that a councilor with them during the abduction was shot dead in the process and would be buried today.

While assuring that the state would not be allowed to be a haven for criminals, the PPRO stressed that the command would work on securing the release of the Commission whose kidnappers are requesting for an N15 million ransom.
