Woman found dead
A 38 year old woman identified as Nafisa Ibrahim has been found dead in the Kaduna residence she shared with her husband earlier this week. Her relatives believe her husband did it because he was no where to be found when her body was discovered.
Late Nafisa’s husband, Nuhu is a security guard in the compound they reside in and on the day she was found dead, he had packed up his belongings and fled . This happened in Mahutu town of the Igabi Local Government Area , Kaduna.
Nafisa’s guardian, Mallam Mohammed Bashir who strongly believes that Nuhu is responsible for the murder informed the journalists in Mahuta community that he(Nuhu) absconded on the morning of the murder.
Nuhu and his late wife, Nafisa lived in the the one bedroom apartment they shared with their five children, four of whom Nafisa had from another man. According to Mallam Bashir,
“Her daughter discovered the lifeless body inside the one-apartment room where they were squatting with the husband. She tried to wake the mother up thinking she was still asleep, but when she realised she was not moving, she ran out of the room crying. She rushed to my house and told me that her mother was dead.
“So, I went to the house and discovered that she was dead. We saw a rope tightened on her neck which made us believe that she was murdered.
“As her guardian, I was aware that they used to have altercations and I always intervened. She left five children, but four of the children were from a previous marriage, while a daughter belongs to the current husband.”
He also stated that the relatives of the woman found dead came all the way from Plateau to settle the case and that are pointing fingers at Nuhu too.
