Multiple award-winning Nigerian artist Ayo Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid has laughed off an interview granted by his former boss Banky W.
The interview on Bounce Network which surfaced on Thursday was anchored by media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
The interview which featured the EME boss with his wife, Adesua centred around his former signee, Wizkid.
When asked if he was disappointed that Wizkid did not attend his wedding in Dubai, Banky W expressed his disappointment, though stating that the Star boy had a show in Dubai at that time.
The singer cum politician also revealed that Wizkid still owes his record label three albums, adding he only released two out of the five that were agreed in his contract before he decided to leave.
Bank W disclosed that he did not try to stop Wizkid from leaving because he wanted them to be on good terms and believed he had his reasons.
“You know, the details escape me now. But I think it was a 5-album deal in the beginning and he had done 2 solo albums. He’d done the “Super Star” album and the “Ayo” album,” Banky W said.
“So, I think he still owed 3 more albums. But he wanted to leave and for me, that was enough. Because I don’t want anybody to stay where they don’t want to be. It would just create animosity, resentment”, the House of Representatives Aspirant added.
Wizkid reacted to the interview via his verified handle, quoted the tweeted video and captioned it “LOL” (which means laughing out loud).
