Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has directed security agencies to arrest any trader who displays goods around the Okoro-Nu-Odu Flyover, with effect from Monday, 23 November 2020.
According to a tweet by the Governor, security agencies were also directed to confiscate their goods.

Meanwhile, the Rivers state government warned that traders who flout this directive will be prosecuted in according to relevant Sections of the Rivers State Street Trading, Illegal Markets and Motor Parks (Prohibition) Law 2019.
Reacting, one of his followers on the social media platform, @PeeforPita described the order as a good move by the governor.
However, he urged the governor to look into the Bundu-Ama road adding that the chairmen of the area allegedly did not allow the road to be worked on without compensation.
