Nyesom Wike, one of the many presidential aspirants and present Governor of Rivers State, recently made a pile of accusations against Rotimi Amaechi, the current Minister of Transportation and also a presidential hopeful.

The Rivers State Governor made series of allegations pointing out that Amaechi had given out properties that belonged to the state government and used the money for his personal deals.

Among properties sold by the former Rivers State Governor, Wike hinted that the Transportation Minister sold gas turbines, Olympia hotel and transfered, to mention a few.

He said the Transport Minister moved fifty million dollars ($50,000,000) from the State’s account when he was governor in Rivers and used it for things that didn’t concern or bring development to the state.

The controversial Governor who delivered a speech at a Thanksgiving service at St. Paul’s Anglican Cathedral in Port Harcourt, yesterday, alleged that an All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship aspirant in the State, Tonye Cole, is a business partner of the Minister.

Wike further alleged that the Minister hopes to bring in Tonye Cole to run the affairs of the state in the next gubernatorial election, so as to have access to government funds and co-run the state like a personal property.

He said, “You (Amaechi) think you can sell this State? The former governor thinks that he can bring his business partner, after you have sold all our gas turbines, Olympia hotel, collected our $50million cash.”
