It’s no longer news that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, a Presidential Aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, just lost his Campaign Director-General, Abdulmumin Jibrin, who left the team for personal reasons.
What’s news about him leaving is why he left at a time the campaigning is about to intensify, and at a period the group needs to prepare all forms of strategy to outshine every other presidential hopeful come 2023 General Elections.
Gathered from a recent tweet, Jibrin, who is expected to be actively involved in the coming APC presidential primary election, said he was moving on from the party.
His reason for leaving the team was, according to a source that spoke with NAN about Jubril’s exit, that his resignation had to do with some local issues in Kano APC
According to the source, Jubril belonged to a faction of the APC in Kano State, led by former governor Ibrahim Shekarau, that lost out at the Supreme Court on Friday to the Gov. Abdulahi Ganduje’s faction.
It was clearly stated that the team said the former federal lawmaker’s resignation had nothing to do with the former Lagos State Governor, neither was it about his work as DG of the Tinubu Support Group Management Council.
