The Manchester United vs Brentford game scheduled for today has been postponed to a later date.
It was reported yesterday that the COVID-19 outbreak had hit the Manchester United camp.
Players and Staff of the Carrington training base have returned positive results as they were sent home, and the club cancelled all first-team training.
The game, which was scheduled for London, was cancelled for fear of the spread of the Coronavirus.
The club statement revealed a request to the Premier League board to reschedule the game, with the board accepting the request based on guidance from a medical advisor.
This cancellation will be the 2nd in the space of a week after the Tottenham game against Brighton and Hoves Albion was also postponed due to the virus outbreak in the ‘Lily white’ camp.
The premier league has informed all the EPL clubs to review their safety measures ahead of the game week as the sudden surge in cases is increasing in the UK.
