Without camouflaging his words, Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Nuru Khalid, in a verbally aggressive expression, lashed out at President Muhammadu Buhari over the spate of banditry and terrorism in the country.
The Islamic Cleric demanded that Nigeria’s Leader immediately return the country to the initial state before he emerged as President.
He noted that if Buhari, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, fails to tackle the nation’s insecurity challenges, he risks eternal punishment from Allah.
For the record, Sheikh Khalid is the Chief Imam of Apo Legislative Quarters Mosque in Abuja. He made the above statement in a viral video at an event on Monday, August 30.
Khalid reemphasized that President Muhammadu Buhari has wholly derailed from the mandated path and not serving the purpose why Nigerian Citizens elected him into office.
“God will punish Buhari if he fails to return Nigeria to the state he met it,” he said these words in the Hausa Language, categorically stating that Nigeria had no issues with armed bandits prior to his entry.
For Buhari’s incompetence, he said, the nation’s present state is chaotic, adding that things have gotten out of hand.
While speaking to worshippers during his sermon, Sheikh Khalid reiterated the same point that “Allah would punish Buhari if he fails to tackle bandits.”
He instructed Nigerians, particularly those surrounding the President, that it has suddenly become commonplace for local communities to be receiving threats under his administration.
He stressed that bandits who engage in other forms of criminalities also demand ransoms in the guise of royalties from these localities. Peradventure, the residents cannot meet their demands, they’re greeted with an attack.
“And they would gather the money and announce publicly on the BBC that they (bandits) would be paid this Friday to avoid an attack.” Sheikh Khalid said.
Lastly, he further urged the President’s praise-singers to inform him that it’s obvious there’s a country Nigerians pay allegiance to. Yet, there’s another part that is unknown to all, which bandits govern.
