The loss of a child is something we all pray no parent ever has to go through that is why Ifeanyi’s death touches the heart of many. It is a feeling of immeasurable pain for a mother to watch her young and innocent child leave a world he or she is yet to enjoy.
Ifeanyi’s death seems like a national tragedy because despite music rivalry, Davido is one person that everyone can agree has a good and cheerful personality especially when it comes to helping others.
While it sounds sane that a good person living happily should have no enemy or ill wishers around, we live in am insane world, so the reverse is the case. One man’s happiness seems to be the stone in another man’s rice.
The physical real is definitely dictated to a large extent by the spiritual realm. This might be a ludicrous thing in the western world, but in this part of the world, it is a reality we should not forget because we are trying to be westernized.
Fortification from prayers is one of the surest way to stand against these unseen forces. Despite Davido’s good nature, he seems to be located in a spiritual war zone where the casualties happen to be his friends and now family.
There was a tragic period where he was mourning one friend or another, from Tagbo to dj Olu to Habeeb 44, T J, his photographer and now Ifeanyi.
One can not imagine the anguish he must be going through with all these losses combined. He had just recently gotten together with his baby mama, Chioma and they seemed to be sailing smoothly with even a promise of marriage next year made by him.
In this tide of good fortune that had caressed their home, it is suspicious that death suddenly appears from no where. It was recalled by some individuals that he was just teaching his son how to swim few days ago. Now there is a heavy question in the hearts of all, Is this a situation of a child trying to imitate what he was being taught or it’s a case of bad eyes finally achieving evil intention?
These questions cannot be answered by the generally public despite it being on the lips of everyone. It is true that another man cannot posses the amount of love a mother has for her child. So this might be a case of carelessness on the caretaker’s part, since the parents were not around.
These questions burden us all as it seems like we carry the weight of this death with us. We hope the parents find divine strength and go through this mourning period, we also hope answers are provided as these questions cannot go unanswered especially the question of where the caretaker was?
