The world’s biggest video game conference, E3, just concluded and Marvel Universe has something big up their sleeves. They revealed the new Marvel game on Monday evening at the E3 conference.

During Square Enix’s E3 press conference, Marvel fans got to see Marvel’s Avengers for the first time. For so long now, only very little about the Avengers Project was public. Fans have been clamoring for more since two years ago when the project was first announced. Well, if you a fan of the Avengers franchise then you should be quite excited with the recent updates.

A trailer was part of the updates. It showed very close versions of Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man and Black Widow but not the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe versions of themselves. It is hard to tell if the moves in the trailer were actual game moves or just motion graphics, but we will be able to tell upon a subsequent release. If you were there at the Square Enix conference you could have had a crack at the real deal.

The developer team is quite capable. The creators of Tomb Raider, Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal are combining to develop the game.

To explain the character adaptation for the game, Vice President and Creative Director at Marvel Games, Bill Rosemann, explained that the game will be Crystal Dynamics’ interpretation of the Marvel superheroes which brings a certain uniqueness to the game to add to the what fans are already used to.

The voice cast is pretty impressive, assembling Troy Baker as Bruce Banner, Jeff Schine as Captain America, Travis Willingham as Thor, Laura Bailey as Black Widow and Nolan North as Tony Stark. The story follows Earth’s mightiest heroes in an all-new story where the Avengers have been disassembled… and need to reassemble to, you guessed it, save the world from a big bad.

To wrap up the conference, Marvel also revealed an official date for the game release. Fans should expect the game by May 15, 2020!
