The Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has reiterated his administration’s readiness to fight Lassa fever in the midst of Coronavirus, COVID-19 outbreak.
Akeredolu disclosed this while responding to a tweet asking him not to forget the battle against Lassa fever.
One of his followers on the social media platform, Olufowose Samuel, with @s_olufowose as his twitter handle said “Please, don’t forget the fight against Lassa fever.”
In his response, the Governor said, “Not at all, If you’ve noticed, we haven’t mentioned the Federal Medical Centre in Owo in any of our messages. That is because that center is dedicated to the Lassa Fever fight. With the new capacity brought by our COVIDー19 offensive, we’d have more resources to fight both.
Meanwhile, the state has no record of anyone infected with Coronavirus yet as Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwoolu announced on Thursday that 11 more people recovered from the virus in the State.
