Real Madrid and Brazilian star Vinicius Junior scored a stunning late winner to help his side come from behind to beat Sevilla at the Bernabeu and move four points clear at the top of the La Liga table. The visitors went in front through Rafa Mir’s header in the first 12 minutes when he converted Acuna’s pass. Real Madrid did well to level the scores before halftime as their skipper Karim Benzema levelled the scoreline with a tap-in.
Vinicius Junior completed Real M’adrid’s comeback when he cut inside and found the top corner with a brilliant right-footed shot. It was Real’s sixth win across all competitions. After Vinicius’ goal, Courtois made a vital stoppage-time save to keep out Thomas Delaney’s header.
Real Madrid is now four points clear of rivals and defending champions Atletico Madrid, who thumped Cadiz 4-1 earlier on Sunday with Thomas Lemar, Antoine Griezmann, Angel Correa and Matheus Cunha target for Diego Simeone’s side, and also Real Sociedad.
Barcelona, on the other hand, is in the seventh-place position with 23 points. They have been doing well since the arrival of Xavi Hernandez. They won Villarreal 3-1, making it the manager’s second in his two La Liga games in charge of the club.
