The Abuja-Kaduna Train Victims video that showed how they were brutally flogged in the forest, till now, there has not been any official action taken to rescue those in captivity.
They’ve only issued a statement regarding the issue, mainly reacting to the aspect where the terrorists threatened President Muhammdu Buhari.
The statement by Garba Shehu, Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, says the Military not helpless in combatting the bandits.
Regarding the flogging aspect, the presidency only mentioned that the terrorists in the video were only trying hard to make govt submit to their demands.
He said they merely staged the flogging as propaganda to cajole the Buhari-led administration to bow to their requests and meet their exchange terms.
“It suffices to say that the security forces are not relenting. They are acutely aware of their duties, responsibilities, and what the nation expects of them.” Shehu said.
