Super Eagles and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has come out to speak on his recent excellent performance against English Premier League side Leicester City. The Nigerian said he hopes to continue to prove his worth and
contribute to the success of his club Napoli.
After scoring two goals, the Nigerian international stated this, which saw Napoli come from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 in Thursday’s Europa League group clash with Leicester City. Osimhen won the Man of the Match Award and he has now opened his goals accounts for the new campaign after appearing in his season’s third game.
The star player said to the media: “I am happy for the double and for the positive result,” Osimhen told Napoli’s website. “It was important to have started the journey in the Europa League well. I want to give everything for this shirt, and I want to continue on this path to prove my worth and give my contribution to the team.” The former Lille striker also hoped for an injury-free campaign and expressed optimism of a successful season.
He concluded by saying: “I hope to have no more injuries because we have a strong group, and I know we can achieve something important this season.”
