After spending some time in a kidnappers’ den, a top official in a Federal Government institution has shared her experience and has exposed an apparent new trend in kidnapping business.
Public Relations Officer of the Edo State Command of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Mrs Bridget Esene, who was just released yesterday after two days in captivity, has said that she has good reason to believe that Fulani herdsmen kidnapped her.

She was kidnapped on Sunday in her church and released on Tuesday. She showed how happy she was about her release, but admitted that she went through so much at the criminals’ mercy.

The new trend in kidnapping business
After her abduction, she narrated that her abductors sold her to another set of armed men who then whisked her away.
Although no ransom was paid, sources close to the family confirmed that the family tried to negotiate with the kidnappers to ensure that she was not harmed because of the amount of publicity that the abduction had gained.
