Real Madrid did well to come from behind to edge bottom side Huesca, thanks to Raphael Varane. The French defender scored twice as Madrid came from a goal down to 2-1 win. Varane scored two to ease the pressure on the Real Madrid manager.
Real Madrid boss Zidane had earlier demanded “respect” from pressmen and the journalists before Saturday’s game. The manager said his side is not the only team in La Liga facing hard times and his side is still in the La Liga title race.
Javi Galan fired home Huesca to put them in front before French defender Raphael Varane gave the equalized for the defending champions. Varane went on to double his goal and handed the defending champions a comfortable away win.
Real Madrid is now in the second place position in the Spanish La Liga with their city rivals Atletico Madrid at the top. They are below them with seven points and Atletico has two more outstanding games.
Zinedine Zidane has won just one of his last five matches and the poor run has led to media scrutiny. Huesca is still in the bottom place in the La Liga table, they have only one of their previous 21 league games this season.
Raphael Varane has now used his brace to give the French man a chance to improve with the Champions League set to kick off next week.
